Postpartum & Infant Care

Our priority is your confidence and comfort.

Whether your baby has already arrived or you are setting up a support system in advance, we are here to support your postpartum recovery and transition home with compassion and knowledge. You have been preparing for this moment for a long time, and we are so excited for this next chapter of your family’s journey.
Bringing home your new baby is a time full of joy, excitement, and gratitude. However, we understand that for many parents those first days, weeks, and months home can bring unique challenges, questions, and emotions, like uncertainty, self-doubt, and fatigue. It takes courage to reach out for support during such a vulnerable time, and we understand the trust it requires.
We are grateful you are here, and embrace any, and all, hesitations and emotions you may be feeling with compassion and gentleness. Our postpartum and infant care doulas are trained experts in postpartum recovery and newborn care, and view the opportunity to work with your family as a privilege. We understand that every family has unique needs, and we support how you want to parent. We listen with attentiveness, non-judgment, and compassion.

Postpartum Recovery

Sleep
Quality time to sleep and rest may feel like a luxury since your baby’s arrival home, yet is vital to your recovery. Our experienced doulas provide the opportunity for you (and your partner) to get a full night’s sleep or a restful daytime nap so you can feel your best physically and mentally.
Self-care
Research shows that prioritizing time for yourself and your relationship post-baby is important for your overall wellbeing. Our doulas help make this possible by providing day and overnight support.
Emotional Support
The fourth trimester is a complex time that can bring a rollercoaster of emotions and uncertainties. We honor each of our clients’ journeys with compassion, and validation. Your doula will walk alongside you and your family as a confidant and friend, so no matter what questions or uncertainties arise, we will be here to listen.
Nourishment
Hydration and proper nourishment are important for your body’s healing during the postpartum period. Our doulas will help by preparing balanced snacks, meal plans, and a water bottle that is always refilled.
Mental Health
We are trained to recognize the difference between “normal” postpartum emotions, and signs of postpartum mood disorders. If we sense any red flags, our doulas gently and compassionately offer you professional referrals and resources for support, so you never feel alone or unsupported.
Infant Feeding
Whether you choose to feed your baby by breast, bottle, or a combination, we will support your family by answering any questions that may arise, as well as offering tips and tricks for efficient and comfortable feeds for you and your baby.
Newborn Care & Education
You can trust that your baby’s care is in the hands of a skilled expert who gently assists with feeds, soothing techniques, baths, and more. If any questions arise before, during or after our shifts, we are here to offer comprehensive and unbiased advice and education in-person or over the phone.
Sleep & Routines
We offer age-appropriate tools and education to set you and your baby up for successful daytime and nighttime sleep and wake routines. Need additional support? Our sleep coaches are here to help.
Multiples Support
Whether you have twins, triplets, or more, our postpartum doulas are here to support the unique needs of your family during days and nights.

Daytime Support

A daytime doula will support your family’s needs however you choose! Shifts include journaling, support with naps and creating a daytime routine (if requested), and light housekeeping.
